John Dimmer

Hello all! In this post, I will be discussing my ideas and thoughts on John Dimmer and his presentation to the class. John Dimmer presented multiple forms of funding a business owner can partake in to meet financial needs. John Dimmer has been involved in multiple sources of funding which include venture capital, angel investing, and various business ventures. Dimmer has experience with many companies in different industries, including finance, technology, and startups. The first topic he discussed was Angel Investing.  Dimmer has experience as an angel investor, as he provided funding to startups in exchange for equity. He discussed searching for specific keywords based on our company’s need to find potential angel investors. Next, he discussed Venture Capital. He has worked with venture capital firms, helping businesses with strategic funding. Next, he discussed business growth. His expertise includes guiding businesses through different funding stages, from bootstrapping to securing external investment. Lastly, he discussed Networking & Pitching.  Having a strong business plan and a compelling pitch is crucial to attracting potential investors. The type of funding you choose depends on where your business is on its growth journey. For Every Fit, this means being strategic about where the money comes from and making sure we retain enough control to keep our vision intact. Since Every Fit is a startup gym, we need funding for things like leasing space, purchasing equipment, hiring trainers, and marketing, Therefore, combing Angel investors, personal investment, a concise business plan etc., EveryFit will succeed as a business.
