Erik Hanberg

Hello all! This week, we got the chance to meet and listen to another real entrepreneur and a businessman. Eric led us through his journey as an entrepreneur. I was really fascinated with his presentation. His points on the rise of AI and how to affect the future really showed me a new perspective on this. I really like his PowerPoint version of his presentation. I am quite a visual learner, so having a visual presentation to see his work/ journey was beneficial to me. I also liked how he answered all our questions with an immense amount of detail. I really liked the way he charted his book progress to see which book would do the best each year. Surprisingly, the book that he thought would be so good didn’t do as well as the others. I was also fascinated by how he now goes to present his findings and do lectures on non-profit start-ups to other people. Eric also discussed many ways he continued his passion and skills through books. I really like the way he incorporated what he loves, that of writing books into a business. Not only does he make money from what he loves to do, but he enjoys doing it. He also considers it passive income now as he brands his books on a beiger platform called Amazon. Eric really inspired me to start my business by trying to get non-profits to sponsor me. I would definitely look into reading his book such as “The Little Book of Gold,” or “The Little Book of Boards.” I enjoyed his presentation very much!

  Hello all! In this blog post, I will be discussing the three biggest competitors for my company and why I can compete against them. Competition is good as it shows I will have a market for my company. My all-inclusive gym is like many other gyms. However, my gym is also quite unique. Strengths and Weaknesses

 Hello all! I did some thinking and discovered what my true strengths and weaknesses are regarding building a company. My strengths are that I am caring. I am helpful and am always willing to help when needed. I am intelligent. I am a leader and can help lead strategies/ manage. I can get along with anyone. I am quite open-minded. I can put myself in other people’s shoes to see their point on things. I am calm and can stay calm in any urgent situation. I am positive-minded. I am a problem-solver. I am punctual. I can multitask. I can speak four different languages which include English, Punjabi and Hindi. I had to change gears and really dig deep to think about my weakness. My weaknesses include I trust people too fast. I see the good in people before I see the bad. I always need a plan and can never work on the fly without a schedule. StartUp.com Documentary

  Hello all! I watched the StartUp documentary and had mixed feelings about it. It gave me great insight on the process of creating a startup company. Their company GovWorks was intended to create an easier route for governmental operations through an online platform. Both Tom and Kaleil started off strong with great support. However, throughout their journey, both Tom and Kaleil slowly lost their passion and shifted their focus more on the money aspect. This change in their focus caused Tom to eventually leave the company and put Kaleil in full charge. Personally, I would have fired Kaleil. Kaleil did have his way around using his charms to please company investors which led him to become the CEO of the company and make the most money. However, Kaleil’s selfishness was highlighted when Tom decided to take the leave of absence. Tom should have gotten his fair share when he tried to take his leave of absence.
